2. Information we collect
Account information: your name, email address and sign-in details.
Content you create: memorials, tributes, guestbook entries, photos, writing drafts, cards, prayer requests and candle messages. Some of this may relate to people who have died and to your family members.
Payment information: payments are processed by Stripe. We do not see or store your full card number; we keep records such as the amount, product and a Stripe customer/payment reference.
Usage information: basic technical and analytics data such as pages visited and device/browser type.
3. How we use information
To provide and secure the services, process orders, show content you choose to share, send service and (where you agree) reminder or marketing emails, respond to support requests, and improve the service.
4. Sharing and visibility
Content you mark as public (for example a published public memorial, an approved prayer, or a public candle) can be seen by anyone. Private or password-protected content is only shown to people you authorise.
We use service providers to run Everlight, including our hosting/application platform, Stripe for payments and email delivery providers. We do not sell personal information.
5. Email preferences
You can stop reminder and marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in our emails or on the /unsubscribe page. We may still send essential account and receipt emails.
6. Storage and security
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information, including access controls. Information may be stored or processed outside Australia by our service providers.
7. Access, correction and deletion
You can ask to access or correct your personal information, or ask us to delete your account and content, by contacting us. We may need to verify your identity.
8. Complaints and contact
If you have a question or complaint about privacy, please contact us [CONTACT EMAIL — TO BE CONFIRMED]. If you are not satisfied with our response you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
